We have been in the accommodation market since 1992, where we published various pages for holiday home rentals. We have had a website since 1995.
It was Danish Bed & Breakfast® that introduced the concept of bed and breakfast to Denmark, as it had not been used in the country prior to 1992.
It all started with an idea from colleagues in the Netherlands and Belgium, who had already created a Bed & Breakfast catalog. We were allowed to implement the same idea in Denmark, and in 1992, the first catalog was published. It was available at all tourist offices and highway kiosks. From 1993, it could also be purchased in bookstores across the country.
In 1995, we began to explore the Internet. We created one of Denmark's first 300 websites in late 1995. Since then, we have developed significantly online, and in 2005, we discontinued the catalog as our website, bedandbreakfast.dk, received more visitors.
Over the years, we have released new versions of bedandbreakfast.dk, benefiting and delighting the many hosts involved.
